Four Tips To Mobile Friendly Kartra Memberships

You’ve built the amazing membership, uploaded all the content and now your users are asking if there is a mobile friendly version. Kartra has hinted that a mobile app is in development but until it is ready here are three tips you can use TODAY to make your Kartra Membership a little more user friendly.

#1 sidebar placement

Using “side bar right” for your sidebar placement will push your side bar content to the bottom of the page on mobile views keeping your content front of mind and top of page, above the scroll.

#2 sidebar size

Keeping your banners on the “thinner size” will keep them from occupying lots of that super valuable sidebar space. 600x100px should be a good size to get started.

#3 the layout

I recommend using the “Left navigation” pannel for your memberships. This hides the categories in a tidy hamburger when not in use. Also keeping that highly precious above the scroll the real estate for that awesome content and not navigation.

*depending on the amount of categories you have you you might find the other options are just fine for you. Test and see which one fits best for you and your course/membership

#4 include a post about adding to mobile

You can always include a post in “getting started” that shows how to get started on mobile and add a button to your home screen. Here’s an article with great instruction on how to do this on both iPhone and Android devices.

bonus - use the “inspect” feature to check out how your site will look on mobile

To get to the inspection view on a Mac you can hit command+shift+c or right click on your mouse or trackpad and click on “inspect”.
